Information for Authors
The Liffey Press is keen to publish a wide range of Irish-focused,
non-fiction titles, with a particular interest in books relating to
contemporary Ireland. We would welcome proposals in the areas of
culture, social policy, arts and literature, current events, politics,
education, economics and related fields, and will endeavour to respond
promptly to all proposals received. Proposals should provide the
following information:
- A general description of the content and purpose of the book and
why you feel it should be published.
- A chapter by chapter outline of the book's proposed contents.
- A description of the intended market for the book — types of
readers (general readers, students, etc.), geographical location
(Ireland, the US, worldwide, etc.) and so on.
- A list of any competing titles, including sales figures if
possible.
- A description of the author(s) — current position,
qualifications, previous publications, etc.
- A timetable for the likely delivery of a final manuscript.
- If available, a sample chapter of the book.
A description of any marketing or sales support that would be
available for the book.
Send the book proposal and any other relevant information to David
Givens, Publisher, at The Liffey Press, Ashbrook House, 10 Main
Street, Raheny, Dublin 5 or via e-mail to
